Part II of Spin Master’s Escape Room the Game: The Virus.
In short, this was better than the prison break but a malfunction with the decoder finally made me give up on Spin Master’s game. I gave up. I gave the box to another person. In short. Save your money. Think Fun’s games are just plain better. See below for a further rant.

Before you can think outside the box, you have to get a box. In this case, that means buying Spin Master’s Escape Room The Game, which comes in a box. Putting the escape room experience in a box is a challenge. The best escape rooms have thematic decorations, immersive environments, and cool props that you physically manipulate to escape. A number of companies are now trying to package the experience, with varying success. See below for the full review.

This was my 3rd attempt at a solo escape, and I may have taken on more than I could handle. I was able to escape in time, thanks to some well-timed hints, and a flexible clock that may have gone two minutes over. This was a fun room and I was busy running around the entire 60 minutes. However, it really made me appreciate having a second set of hands, eyes, and another brain. See below for the full review.

Find and Seek was a fun puzzle experience with some great tech and fun props. The room was nicely decorated and well-run with a variety of puzzles. The room is great for people who enjoy a linear experience without a lot of searching, (which we enjoyed). If you’re in Downtown Vancouver and looking for an escape room experience, check it out. See below for the full review.

I finally got around to visiting Escape Games PDX, and I’m glad I did. We got out of this room without a second to spare. Literally. We opened the door and the clock chimed 60 minutes. The room was pretty nicely decorated and fitting with the Sherlock theme, there were some fun puzzles we hadn’t seen before, and I look forward to trying their other rooms. See below for the full review.

We set another record!! This room seemed tailor-made to our brains that day. I don’t know what it was…maybe it was the pint of Guinness we consumed directly before arriving. It was just one of those rooms and one of those days. We sped through the room, getting out in time to see a smiling employee tell us that we had the new record. See below for the full review.

It’s so nice to be in a city where wandering around will allow you to happen upon an escape room. This is how we found Dublin Escape. We stopped in and were happy to find that a room was free at the time. Thus began our escape from Espionage. This room really spoke to our way of thinking, and we got out very quickly with no hints. It was one of those times, I can only say, we were just “ON.” See below for the full review.

Quarantine Hospital Room was not only the third room we tried with Great Escape Rooms in Galway, it also got us a free T-shirt!! After Prison Break and The Auld Shebeen, we had to complete all 3 for the T-shirt offer. This room had a couple of tough puzzles, and some very interesting props. Although there were a couple of red herrings, we were not overly distracted and managed to escape in time with a couple of hints. See below for the full review.

The Auld Shebeen, a “traditional Irish pub,” was our second escape room with Great Escape Rooms in Galway, after Prison Break. This room is very heavy on searching and light on puzzles. The decorations and set were pretty cool. It felt like you were in a pub after hours. Unfortunately, there was no booze around. If you like scavenger rooms, you’ll probably like this one. See below for the full review.

After completing Asylroom, we continued our promenade around Galway and stumbled across another escape room. Great Escape Rooms had Prison Break available, so we gave it a shot. Some interesting puzzles and we had enough fun that we came back the next day to try their remaining rooms. There were a couple of problems with the room that I think could be fixed to make it better. See below for the full review.
