This was only our second ever escape room, and 40+ escape rooms later, this one is still unique. This is a room where creative thinking goes a long way. There aren’t really any logical puzzles to solve, and not a lot of scavenging. It is really a room about trying things. Put something here, put something there, and hope something happens. I don’t know if this is a good room for beginners, and for experienced escape room enthusiasts, this will likely be a little bit different. See below for the full review.
“Don’t expect this one to be easy. The room has just a few decorations and most of the things at this kitchen work pretty uncommon. Try to find some unique solutions and maybe you will succeed.“
We’d originally booked “Party at Jamaika” because we felt like after we’d completed our very first ever escape room, we were definitely advanced! However, the staff urged us to try Crazy Kitchen instead, as Party at Jamika would be very difficult for 2 people. We relented, and went for Crazy Kitchen instead. This is still called an advanced room by Wrong Room, but I would rate it as intermediate.
You are in a kitchen. A crazy kitchen. There are not really puzzles to solve, per se. There are some things you see, and try, and hope something happens. I don’t know what to compare it to, but it is a little different than most escape rooms. The best way to describe it would be to just try a lot of things. Even though I prefer rooms with a clear and logical flow, this room was still fun. We ended up using 1 hint, and once we understood how the game was really played, based on that hint, the rest of the room went pretty smoothly.
We got out with plenty of time, and were a little disappointed that it wasn’t harder, but still had a great time. Luckily, the manager/owner contacted us and offered to let us try Party at Jamaika. It’s good we did, because to this day, that remains one of our favorite rooms. If you are in Vilnius, try Crazy Kitchen if you want to try a different kind of escape room. Then try “Party at Jamaika” for a real challenge.
