Exit Point – Rabbit Hole – Budapest

⍟⍟⍟⍟⍟. Highly Recommended by EscapeRoomers. Last room of the Blitz, and one of the top 2 rooms of the whole trip! Fun to end on such a high note. This was a fantastically decorated and designed room. It was challenging, original, and fun to play. A great variety of puzzles left us wanting to try the other Exit Point rooms. See below for the full review.

“You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes…If you choose this game you’ll be guided to fairy Wonderland by Horsehead, and you don’t need to take the magic pills!”

We arrived at 4 pm on the final day of the Budapest Escape Room Blitz. With backpacks in hand, we intended to leave straight from Exit Point to the airport. A short introduction, and in we went. This an Alice in Wonderland themed room. Great immersive experience with lots of fun decorations. The flow was great and led us to our first big surprise. More fun and over-the-top decorations that were on point with the theme. A great variety of puzzles. It felt like a high production value, and a great value for the money.

We got stuck at one point, because neither of us have played chess in quite awhile. (Since then, I’ve seen chess boards in more and more rooms, so a basic knowledge of chess and how it is described can be very helpful.) We got a hint, which helped us get the answer we were looking for, from there we hopped along nicely, finishing the room in 38 minutes. Although we got out quickly, I think this is a relatively difficult room. Again, I think we were just working at peak performance for this last escape room of the trip.

We finished feeling great, but unfortunately we had to head to the airport. The helpful employee said Mirrors was available, (one of 3 Exit Point rooms). We tried to justify it, but didn’t want to risk missing the flight back, so reluctantly we had to say no. We were even given a free drink ticket to the Fogasház, the ruin bar that was home to Exit Point. Unfortunately, Fogasház was not open yet, so no celebratory drink just yet. This was a great way to end the Budapest Blitz.
