⍟⍟⍟⍟. Recommended by EscapeRoomers. Day 2 of the Blitz, room 3 of the day. This is a well-polished room. While there was a good variety of puzzles, in the quest for variety, some felt inappropriate for an escape room. This is a 75 minute room, which was good, because we wouldn’t have gotten out in 60 minutes. Overall it was fun to play, and I would try another Gozsdu Mission in the future. “You have to complete Don Francesco’s mysterious request within one hour, before the police get there. To solve the task you need clear logic, ingenuity and sometimes real out of the box thinking…”
Gozsdu Mission is right in the middle of a busy Budapest pedestrian street, among restaurants and shops. After dealing with the no-show fiasco of Paniq Room, Gozsdu Mission was a welcome change. This place is very well run, and professional. The room decorations go floor to ceiling, and everything seems well-maintained.
Everything ran pretty smoothly until we hit a snag about 3/4ths of the way through. We sat and thought, and searched. We got to that point where we were coming up with weird and random connections to try and get the right number. When we finally asked for a hint, I was annoyed, because I had done the right thing, but not looked from the right angle to reveal the clue.
This was the first room we’d done that wasn’t a 60-minute room. The time limit was 75, which I think was the right amount of time for this room considering the number and variety of puzzles. We ended up getting out in 65 minutes.
There were a great variety of puzzles, however, a couple just seemed like random puzzles that had nothing to do with the room. One was more like a word riddle/logic game. There were a couple of physical puzzles, which can be hit or miss. Here I don’t think it was either, especially since it was familiar. Some of the puzzles were a bit disappointing, but overall, the room was enjoyable.
